Gerrit accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour during his student years at Stellenbosch University in 1988.
Ever since then he was involved with evangelism, Bible distribution and supporting missionaries and the church in Southern Africa. He has been to Namibia on several outreaches, into Angola, the central regions of Mozambique and throughout South Africa and Lesotho.
Gerrit is currently acting as facilities manager for a local congregation in Philipstown, Northern Cape - "Gees-en-Waarheid Gemeente" from where they reach out to local communities in the Northen Cape of South Africa.
He is also a member of the founding committee and management of Bible in Hand Ministries (BIH Ministries) where he invests his expertise in Digital Marketing and vast experience with the logistical challenges with reaching out to different people groups throughout Southern Africa.
Gerrit is also the founder and content creator of Bible-Study-Resource (www.biblestudyresource.com), an institution that promotes the reading and studying of the Bible, the application thereof in everyday life and the sharing of the Gospel to all people groups.
